Overview
What is a DLG file? Dialogue file used by games such as Crysis, a first person shooter game developed by Crytek; contains a character dialogue that is referenced during gameplay; can be edited by the user with a text editor.
More Information United States Geological Survey (USGS) developed the DLG format. Depending on the standard used, DLG (Digital Line Graph) files may store data in binary and text formats: DLG-3 files (older standard) are typically stored in ASCII text format, making them human-readable and easier to edit manually. DLG-F files (modern standard) use a binary format, which is more compact and efficient for processing but not easily readable without specialized GIS software.
