What is an ISF file? Flowchart, also called a "concept map," created with Inspiration, an educational diagraming program; used by students for planning, researching, and completing projects; can be viewed as a visual diagram or in a textual outline format.
More Information Microsoft created the ISF format for use with the Windows Ink Service Platform, which is a framework that allows Windows apps to accept and show stylus input. Several mobile and desktop versions of Windows, including Windows 7 and later desktop versions, include the Windows Ink Service Platform. When the Windows Ink Service Platform detects stylus input, it saves that input to an ISF file. In some versions of Windows, these files are stored in the following location: C:/Users/UserName/AppData/Local/Microsoft/InputPersonalization

An ISF file contains stylus input data saved in Microsoft's Ink Serialized Format. For example, an ISF file might contain a user's signature or a note written using a stylus. Versions of Windows that support touchpad and touchscreen writing can create ISF files.
