A PIM file may also be a compressed archive created by PIM, an archive utility for Windows. It contains one or more files that have been compressed and packaged together for more efficient storage and distribution. PIM files often contain multiple image, audio, and/or other multimedia files.

How to open a PIM file

You can open a PIM file with PIM (Windows). To do so, select File → Open... . Then, navigate to and open your PIM file. After opening your PIM file, you can select Commands → Extract... to extract the files your PIM file contains.
