Contains a group of components and other assets used by an Adobe Flex application; includes a .SWF file and a catalog.xml file, which lists the contents of the package and the individual components; generated by the Animate authoring tool and compressed using the PKZIP archive format.
More Information SWC archives may also include Live Preview and Property Inspector SWF files, ActionScript ( .AS ) files, an .SWD debug file, and a .PNG icon file. NOTE: Animate was formerly known as Flash, which was originally developed by Macromedia but then merged with Adobe in 2005. Flash became Animate in 2016.
