FlashForge G-Code File

A G file contains instructions that FlashForge 3D printers can use to print a 3D model. These instructions are written in a variant of G-Code, a standard 3D printing language. Typically, users create G files with FlashForge FlashPrint, a proprietary slicer program.

Slicing programs allow users to import 3D models and create instructions a 3D printer can use to print those models. FlashPrint allows users to export instructions in the G and .GX formats, which are proprietary formats used by FlashForge 3D printers.

Due to these differences, printers and software that can read GCODE files may not be able to read G files, unless a user reformats the files to use standard G-Code formatting.

To print the 3D model a G file describes, transfer the file to a FlashForge 3D printer, such as the FlashForge Creator Pro or Inventor II.
