What is a PART00000 file? A PART00000 file is the first part of a split archive created with WinOptimizer, a maintenance and optimization program for Windows. PART00000 files are created by the File Splitter & Joiner tool provided with the program. They can be joined with other parts (i.e., ".part00001," ".part00002," etc.) to restore the original file.

More Information WinOptimizer appends the part number to the end of the filename when creating split archive parts. For example, MyMovie.wmv would have parts MyMovie.wmv.part00000 , MyMovie.wmv.part00001 , MyMovie.wmv.part00002 , etc. NOTE: Split archives are used for separating large files into smaller parts for storage on floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs.
