What is a PPA file? A PPA file is an add-in file used by Microsoft PowerPoint, a program that allows users to create presentations. It contains custom commands and macros written in the VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) language and is used to extend the capabilities of Microsoft PowerPoint.

How to open a PPA file
You can open PPA files with Microsoft PowerPoint in Windows and macOS. To open a PPA file with PowerPoint 365, select File → Open → Browse , then choose "PowerPoint Add-ins (*.ppam;*.ppa)" from the format dropdown menu.
To manage your add-ins in PowerPoint 365, select File → Options → Add-ins .

A PPA file may also be an archive of an Archicad Teamwork Project ( .PLP file) created with GRAPHISOFT Archicad architectural design software. It stores all model data and views from Archicad for the project, along with settings and references to libraries hosted on BIMcloud. PPA files are similar to .PLP teamwork projects, but contain the referenced libraries in a single file that may or may not be compressed.

GRAPHISOFT Archicad is a building information modeling (BIM) application for Windows and macOS users. Architects often use the software to design the appearance of structures, including their interiors, exteriors, and landscapes.
The main Archicad project format is the .PLN solo project format, but the software also allows multiple Archicad users to work on the same project in different locations, and save it in the PLP format. When users want to save the Teamwork Project to back it up or as a single file to transfer it, they save it as a PPA file.
How to open a PPA file
You can only open PPA files with GRAPHISOFT Archicad in Windows and macOS.
