It stores information about an instrument, such as a kick drum or piano, in the Extended Instrument (XI) format, which is similar to the .XM module format. XI files include envelope and LFO settings and one or more WAVE samples (one per channel).
More Information Audio tracker apps, such as Fasttracker 2 and Milkytracker, allow you to arrange patterns and instruments to create a sequence that makes up a song. The instruments may fall into many different categories, including strings, brass, woodwinds, and synths. In addition, you can adjust various settings in XI instruments, including their volume, starting note, and default panning. NOTE: Although Triton Productions no longer develops Fasttracker 2, other audio editors still support the format.
