Schism Tracker is a free program used to create music. The program is an implementation of Impulse Tracker and is available for Windows, OS X, and Linux.
The application looks and functions similar to the Impulse Tracker program. Schism Tracker is based on a modified version of the Modplug engine, which allows you to play a variety of Tracker music formats and provides better playback of Impulse Tracker ( .IT ) files. You can also use the program to play and edit other Tracker music files, such as .XM , .S3M , and .MOD .
Schism Tracker is useful for playing and editing Tracker music. It is designed for users who can't afford to purchase expensive equipment and, unfortunately, looks like it. While some users may find it a helpful tool for creating music, there are many other better choices available.
