A DTP file may also be a data file created by JetBrains dotTrace, a profiling program used to gather and analyze performance information about .NET and .NET Core applications. It contains a profile snapshot, which includes performance or concurrency data collected by dotTrace and is used to analyze the performance of an application.

To open a DTP file in dotTrace, select Open Snapshot in the Home window and navigate to the DTP file you would like to open.
