Panoramic image created by Adobe Photoshop, an image and photo-editing program; stores an image composition that has been merged from multiple images; also saves the image arrangement and user-selected merging options; commonly used for storing panoramas of digital photos.
More Information
By merging and blending the edges of multiple images together, Adobe Photoshop Photomerge technology "stitches" digital photos into a single picture so that they appear as though they were captured as a single camera shot.
To use Photomerge, select File → Automate → Photomerge... . Alternatively, you can open Adobe Bridge, select multiple image files, and then choose Tools → Photoshop → Photomerge... . After selecting this menu item, Photoshop will open and provide a dialog to select the merging options.
NOTE: While Photoshop and Photoshop Elements both support PMG files, Photoshop can handle much larger images.
