A BPK file may also be a backup of an Android app installed in the Windows version of BlueStacks, an Android emulator . It is used to migrate an app and all its associated data from one version of BlueStacks to another. For example, you can use a BPK file to migrate an app and its data from BlueStacks 4 to BlueStacks 5.

The BlueStacks emulator allows you to install and use Android apps on Windows PCs. If you want to upgrade from an old version of BlueStacks to a newer version, you can migrate your apps to the newer version using the BlueStacks AppData Migration Tool (after enabling Android debug bridge in BlueStacks' settings). Doing so saves a copy of your apps and their associated data as a set of BPK files.
