A BRUSH file may also be an image created using Xerox Doodle, a paint program included with the Xerox Star 8010 PC (also known as the Xerox Dandelion). It contains a bi-level, black and white image.
More Information
Bi-level images (also referred to as binary images) consist of pixels that can be one of two colors. Each of the image's pixels is stored as a single bit of binary code, with a 1 representing one color and a 0 representing the other. In most cases, bi-level images are black and white.
How to open a BRUSH file
Because the BRUSH file format is obsolete, no known image viewers can open BRUSH files. However, you can convert your BRUSH file to a .PBM (Portable Bitmap Image) file using Netpbm (cross-platform). Then, you can open the file as you would any PBM file.
