An EFU file may also be a file list created in Everything, a file and folder search engine for Windows. It contains a CSV-delimited list of filenames, file sizes, and other file-related data. EFU files can be opened in Everything or spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel.

EFU file open in Everything
Everything is a free Windows search engine application that allows users to search for files and folders saved on their PCs. After performing a search, users can save their results within an Everything File List, or EFU file. The EFU file contains each returned file's name and size, as well as the dates the file was created and last modified.
Most often, Everything users save search results in EFU files to spare themselves the trouble of searching for a file again in the future. If a user wants to find and open a file referenced within an Everything File List, they can open the list in Everything and then double-click the file to open it.
How to open an EFU file
While you can open an EFU file in any spreadsheet program or text editor, it is meant to be opened in Everything (Windows). Opening an EFU file in Everything allows you to quickly open any of the files the EFU file references.
To open an EFU file in Everything, select File → Open File List... from the program's menu bar. Advanced Everything users can also use the program's File List Editor ( Tools → File List Editor... ) to manually edit their file lists.
