What is an XBSAV file? Game file saved by the Xbox version of Mass Effect 2, a shooter game that takes place in outer space; contains saved game data, such as the character name, weapons, currency, and level; used to save and load game progress.
More Information XBSAV files are commonly used to modify ("mod") Mass Effect 2. They are found within the save game container file on an Xbox memory card. The container file must first be opened using a program such as Modio or Le Fluffie, and then the XBSAV file may be edited. NOTE: XBSAV files can be edited and converted to the .PCSAV format with Gibbed's Mass Effect 3 Save Editor.
