Software Overview

Apple Mail is an email application bundled with macOS and iOS . As such, it's the default email program for Macs, iPhones, and iPads.

Mail's greatest strength is that it allows you to combine accounts from multiple email providers in one place. For example, you can add iCloud, Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and other email accounts to Mail. This makes Mail a one-stop shop for viewing, organizing, and responding to all your messages.

When organizing your emails, you can use flags and inbox folders to sort messages by subject, contact, or whatever method you use to categorize your emails. You can also flag important contacts as VIPs; Mail will then automatically notify you when a VIP message arrives in your inbox. When viewing messages, you can filter by mailbox, folder, or status (such as Unread or Flagged), to make it easier to find the message you're looking for.

Apple Mail also includes several message composition features that set it apart from other email apps. For example, the Mail Drop feature allows you to automatically send large attachments via iCloud, making it easy for recipients to access and retrieve those attachments. Mail also allows you to mark up messages and attachments, schedule messages and follow-up reminders, and perhaps most importantly, unsend a message, if you hit Send prematurely.
