Virus scan report file created by AntiVir, a Windows antivirus application; saved in a plain text format and contains a report of an antivirus scan; can later be uploaded to the Avira Malware Research Center for review.

AVL files include information such as the date and start time of the scan, the number of scanned files and directories, and any detected viruses. They also contain a reference to the .LOG file for the scan.
AntiVir reports are saved to the ProgramData\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\REPORTS\ directory, but they are loaded automatically by the software into the Overview → Reports pane within the user interface. From this pane, you can open reports to see the details of the antivirus scans.
