What is an ENTITLEMENTS file? Developer file used by Mac OS X applications that implement App Sandboxing, which was required for all Mac App Store apps as of June 1, 2012; saved in the .PLIST format and contains entitlements, or privileges, enabled for the app when it runs.

NOTE: When App Sandboxing is enabled in Xcode, the program creates a file called MyProject.entitlements (where MyProject is the project name) in the root directory of the project.
