WinWrap Basic is an Integrated Development Environment ( IDE ) that programmers can use to add BASIC functions to their programs. For example, developers can use WinWrap Basic to generate user interface elements using BASIC code. The scripts developers create in WinWrap Basic are saved as WWD files.

Basic is packaged with a script execution program named WinWrap Director. After creating a script in WinWrap Basic, developers can test the script by running it in WinWrap Director.
