Software Overview

BrawlBox is a free program used to edit game resource files for select Nintendo Wii games, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl (SSBB) and Mario Kart. Development of the program ceased in December 2013 but BrawlBox is still available for download.

BrawlBox enables you to modify different aspects of your Wii video game, such as SSBB, by giving you tools to edit the game's resource files. The files are often contained in .BRRES resource packages, which you can extract in order to alter textures, models, palettes, animations, scene settings, sounds and other gameplay elements. In addition to its editing capabilities, BrawlBox lets you create ARC File Archives, BRSTM Audio Streams, and the aforementioned BRRES Resource Pack.

BrawlBox allows SSBB and Mario Kart gamers to alter their gameplay. Although the program has its share of bugs, which may be expected from a free homebrew program that is no longer developed, BrawlBox is the best option for SSBB and Mario Kart modders.
