What is a PDX file? Index file created by Adobe Acrobat, a document creator and viewer program; contains an index of documents and directories; enables the capability to search across multiple .PDF documents; useful for businesses that use large sets of PDF documents, such as lawyers.
More Information PDX indexes can be created under the Choose Advanced → Document Processing → Full Text Index with Catalog option in Adobe Acrobat. Other files may be added to an existing PDX index using the same option. Adobe Acrobat is available in Standard, Pro, and Pro Extended versions.

PDX file open in Panic Playdate Simulator
Playdate is a handheld video game console created by Panic. Game developers can use the Playdate Software Development Kit ( SDK ) to create games for Playdate. These game development projects typically consist of .LUA source code and game assets saved in various image and audio formats, such as .PNG , .WAV , and .MP3 files.
After a developer has finished developing their Playdate game, they can use the Playdate Compiler (pdc) to compile their game into an executable package. These packages are saved as PDX files. In Windows and Linux, PDX files appear as normal directories, which you can open and examine as you would any other directory. In macOS, PDX files appear as macOS packages .
How to open a PDX file
You can open a PDX file with Playdate Simulator, a Playdate console simulator included with the Playdate SDK. This allows you to play the game your PDX file contains. To open a PDX file with Playdate Simulator, open the app, select File → Open , and then navigate to and open your PDX file.
