What is an SC2SAVE file? Saved game file created by Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, a real-time strategy game where players battle in outer space as the Protoss, Zerg, or Terran races; contains the saved progress for a campaign mission or for a custom single player map; includes the state of units and their locations, structures, resources, and other map information.

More Information In Windows, SC2SAVE files are saved by default in the \​Users\​[user]\​My Documents\​StarCraft II\​Accounts\​...\​Saves\​ directory. In Mac OS X, SC2 save files are stored by default in the [user]/​Library/​Application Support/​Blizzard/​StarCraft II/​Accounts/​.../​Saves/​ directory. The location of this save directory was updated in September 2010 with patch 1.1.0. NOTE: StarCraft II auto-saves games during campaign missions. Therefore, you may see several SC2SAVE files created as you complete missions. The auto-saved files are stored in an Unsaved directory in the Saves directory.
