An SPT file contains source code written in the Ensign Software Programming Language (ESPL), which is specifically designed for the Ensign financial charting and analysis platform. SpeedTree Tree Data File

Contains procedural tree data used by SpeedTreeCAD, a tree modeling program; includes information required to construct the tree geometry, as well as data for LOD implementation, wind animation, and cloning.

SPT files can also be read by other 3D modeling programs that have the SpeedTreeMAX or SpeedTreeMAYA plugins installed.

Cypress Semiconductor Script

Script created by Cypress USB Console, a program used to create scripts that can automatically download firmware to USB -compatible devices; includes configuration information and references to firmware binaries, as well as instructions for loading the firmware onto the device.

Using Cypress USB Console, developers can create SPT scripts by recording their actions as they click through the user interface. The recorded script can be run to automatically upload the firmware onto the USB-compatible device.

NOTE: Cypress USB Console is a component of Cypress' CyConsole software, which is often included with Cypress Development Kit applications.

AQW Trainer File

"Autoer" file used by Hell Quest, a trainer program used for automatically leveling up characters in the MMORPG game Adventure Quest Worlds (AQW); saves instructions for user input; used for loading different trainer profiles for different game tasks.

Trainer programs are used for automatically generating player input into games without the human player having to be present at the computer. This technique is sometimes used for games in which time is required to level up game characters. However, trainers are generally discouraged and are against most end user license agreement (EULA) policies. Neither Hell Quest nor SPT files are supported by Artix Entertainment, the creators of Adventure Quest Worlds.

NOTE: Programs other than Hell Quest can also open SPT files, including Cross Hell, a Flash ( .FLA ) application.

RadScript Script

An SPT file may also be a script included in a Radical Entertainment video game, such as The Simpsons: Hit & Run or The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. It contains a series of actions to be executed in the game. For example, if a player enters a certain in-game area, they may trigger a script that plays an associated .RSD audio file.

Each level in The Simpsons: Hit & Run uses its own SPT script. These scripts are named for their associated level. For example, level seven in The Simpsons: Hit & Run uses an SPT script named level7.spt . Level7.spt is notable for including a bugged action, in which The Simpsons: Hit & Run tries and fails to load associated audio files because the files' locations are specified incorrectly.

SPT files are not meant to be manually opened. Instead, they are meant to be referenced and triggered during gameplay.
