What is an XFD file? File that uses the Extensible Forms Description Language (XFDL) standard to represent a structured, legally-binding business form; contains business form data including layout, digital signatures, inline expressions, and business transaction details; addresses business transaction needs for auditability, non-repudiation, preservation of context, and security.
More Information XFD files are the same as .XFDL files. They were designed to create standardized business forms and are used in government and business transactions. NOTE: The United States Airforce discontinued the use of IBM PureEdge Viewer. You should use the Lotus Forms Viewer instead.
