Akeeba eXtract Wizard is a cross-platform program used to extract backup archives. It was available for free with the option of donation but was then discontinued in November 2018 by Akeeba.
The program can extract backup archives in the Zip, JPA, and JPS formats. The interface is straightforward and includes a wizard that walks you through selecting the archive and choosing the extraction folder. The interface also includes space to enter the password for encrypted JPS archives and a status bar to view the progress of an extraction. One of the prominent features of the program is that it enables you to perform a "Dry Run," which means you can test an extraction without extracting anything.
