Software Overview

Apple QuickTime Player is a free media player bundled with macOS. It supports many common audio and video formats, provides video and audio exporting capabilities, and comes with audio and video recording features. The software was previously available for Windows, but Apple discontinued Windows versions of the player in 2016.

QuickTime Player supports many multimedia formats, including .MOV , .MP4 , .M4V , .MP3 , .AIFF , .AAC , and .WAV files. Or, the software can record video with a connected camera, such as an iPhone or iPad, or your computer's camera. You can also create a screen recording and save it as a MOV file.
