What is an EV3S file? An EV3S file is a shared file that is an .EV3P program exported from LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3, a LEGO robot creation program. It stores the same information as an EV3P program, including My Block commands that tell the robot what functions to perform, but in the shareable EV3S format designed for LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 users to share programs with other users.
More Information To export an EV3P program as an EV3S file: Click the wrench icon in the upper left of the Project screen in the application. Select the EV3P file you want to export as an EV3S file. Click Export at the bottom of the window, name your file, choose the save location, and click Save .

You can open EV3S files with the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 (the Home and Education versions) in Windows or macOS.
