What is a BNP file? Data file created by some Sony digital camcorders; stored within the AVF_INFO directory on the camcorder and contains metadata about the recorded videos; used for displaying information on the camcorder such as the dates and number of videos recorded.
More Information If you delete the files in the AVF_INFO directory, the recorded camera files will not play back correctly. However, you can still transfer the video data to a computer.
