R3D files are primarily opened in RISA-3D. They can also be opened and edited by a text editor. However, editing an R3D file with a text editor without error-checking features included in RISA-3D makes it more probable that syntactical errors will occur.
You can open an R3D file in RISA-3D by selecting File → Open... . You can create an R3D file in RISA-3D by selecting File → New then File → Save or Save As... .
You can also export an R3D file in RISA-3D by selecting File → Export and choosing the format, such as DXF or SDNF.
