A THP file may also be a text file used by Intuit TurboTax desktop software for Windows and Mac. It contains one or more text strings referenced by TurboTax to load text information that appears in the software.

Intuit TurboTax is a tax return application that enables you to prepare and file U.S. Federal and State tax returns. The software comes packaged with various resource files, such as .NIB User Interface files (Mac version), .PNG images, and THP Text String files, which it references to load various elements in the application.
NOTE: Only early versions of TurboTax desktop software use THP files. You will not find THP files with recent versions of the software.
How to open a THP file
You should not attempt to open TurboTax Text String THP files manually. Instead, Intuit TurboTax desktop software references the THP file.
