WordPerfect Macro

A WPK file may also be a macro used by old versions of WordPerfect, a word processor for MS-DOS and Windows. It contains commands WordPerfect uses to automatically perform a task. For example, a WPK file might contain commands used to automatically add a signature to a document.

WordPerfect is a word processing program that allows users to create letters, memos, forms, resumes, and other documents. If a user knows they'll perform a certain action frequently while creating documents (e.g. formatting a certain document a certain way), they can record that action as a WordPerfect macro. Then, they can execute the macro (usually by pressing a certain keyboard combination), rather than perform the action manually.

While you could use WPK files with previous versions of Corel WordPerfect , current versions of the program do not support the WPK format. Instead, current versions of WordPerfect use macros saved as .WCM files.
