What is a QMTF file? A QMTF file is a transfer file created by Quicken for Mac, a financial management program. It contains user financial data, such as personal information, transactions, and reports, in a text format. QMTF files are used to transfer data from Quicken to other financial software.
More Information QMTF files are created when you export data from Quicken. To export the QMTF file select File → Export and choose "Export to Quicken 2007" or "Quicken Mac 2007 Transfer File (QMTF)..." You can then select the date range of the data you want included in the QMTF file. NOTE: QMTF files are similar to .QIF files, which are also used for transferring financial data in a text format.
