What is an SNAIL file? A SNAIL file is a development project created by Snail IDE, an online block-based development app based on MIT Scratch and PenguinMod. It is a ZIP-compressed archive that stores all of the project's assets, which may include a .JSON file (e.g., a project.json file), multiple .SVG files, and additional image or audio files.

How to open an SNAIL file
You can open a SNAIL file with Snail IDE in your web browser. To do so, select File → Load from your computer from the program's menu bar. Then, navigate to and open your SNAIL file.
If you want to view or extract the assets a SNAIL file contains, you can do so by renaming the file's extension from .snail to .zip and opening it with a Zip utility, such as Microsoft File Explorer (Windows) or Apple Archive Utility (macOS).
