What is a TRASH file? On ChromeOS devices, the .Trash folder is a hidden folder that stores trashed files and metadata about those files. This folder is similar to the ~/Trash folder found on Linux systems. ChromeOS uses the files and metadata stored in the .Trash folder to allow users to restore trashed files from its primary Trash folder.
