What is a 3GPP file? A 3GPP file is a multimedia file saved in the 3GPP format developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project. It stores video and audio and is primarily used to transmit video over the Internet and save videos on 3G mobile phones.

How to convert a 3GPP file
You can convert a 3GPP file to various formats in Windows, macOS, and Linux with VideoLAN VLC media player. To convert a 3GPP file, select Media → Convert / Save... , select the 3GPP file, and choose the format to which you want to convert the 3GPP file. Options include .MP4 , .OGG , and .ASF .
You can also convert a 3GPP file to a .MOV file in macOS with QuickTime Player by selecting File → Export As .
