Overview
What is a PLM file? A PLM file is a source code file written in PL/M (Programming Language for Microcomputers), a high-level programming language for Intel 8-bit microcomputers . It contains declarations and statements separated by semicolons that are compiled by a PL/M compiler into machine code that can be run by a microcomputer.
More Information PL/M was developed by Gary Kildall in the early 1970s for Intel 8-bit microprocessors, such as the 8008, 8080, 8085, 8086, and 80186. The language was also used in Zilog Z80 based systems during the 1970s and 1980s. PL/M is no longer supported by Intel but there are several programs still available that can compile the language to microcomputer machine code or translate it to C source code.
