A CKB file may also be a settings file used by Borland C++, a C++ development environment for Windows. It contains a list of keyboard shortcuts , which a developer can use to quickly execute the specified command(s) in Borland C++. Developers can open and edit CKB files with Borland C++ or any text editor.

More Information

Borland C++ was an integrated development environment ( IDE ) that developers could use to create, test, and compile C++ applications. It included several default CKB files, which developers could use to change the IDE's keyboard shortcuts.

To apply one of Borland C++'s default CKB files, developers selected Options → Environment → Editor from the IDE's menu bar. Developers could also create custom CKB files, using Borland C++'s included Keymapper program. After creating a CKB file with Keymapper, developers could apply the keyboard shortcut settings they specified in that file.

How to open a CKB file

You can open a CKB file with Borland C++, to edit it (via the IDE's bundled Keymapper program) or apply the keyboard shortcuts it contains (by selecting Options → Environment → Editor ). If necessary, you can also open a CKB file with any text editor, to view and edit the keyboard shortcut settings it contains.
