What is a DAR file? A DAR file is an archive of a disk or group of files compressed with DAR (Disk ARchive) compression. It is used for creating split-archives and incremental backups. DAR files are designed as a replacement for the .TAR archive format.
More Information You can create a DAR project file by selecting File → New and then choosing the type of project you want to make. The different types include: Menu Based - Produces a DVD that displays a menu when played Music/Video Compilation - Produces a DVD that contains a compilation of video and audio files Picture Compilation - Produces a DVD that displays a slideshow of images Single Movie - Produces a DVD that contains a single movie with no menus When choosing the project you can also pick the settings for the disc format, video format, and audio format.
