What is a DF2 file? A DF2 file is an instrument saved in the Defractor Enhanced Instrument (DF2) format created by Defractor, a Windows synthesizer application. It stores settings for filters, envelope generators, oscillators, and other effects that configure the sound of the instrument. The DF2 format superseded the Defractor 1.0 Instrument ( .DFC ) format.
