What is an LBL file? An LBL file contains a label template created by Now Contact, a program used to organize contact information and day-to-day activities. It stores a template print layout for a label, which is helpful for saving a design that will be repeatedly used. Pre-loaded template options include "Avery 4010," "Avery A4 L7160," "CoStar 30251," and "Dymo Shipping 30256."

You will then be able to edit the template layout and its dimensions. Click OK when you're finished. An LBL file stores a label created by dBASE, an IDE with database management capabilities. It contains a formatted design for presenting data (e.g., a design that organizes addresses for printing on adhesive paper and then attaching to envelopes). dBASE replaced LBL files with LAB files.

dBASE is a Windows program that provides various features for managing databases, building programs, and compiling them. Additionally, dBASE provides Wizard and Designer tools for creating and modifying labels within the software.
To access these tools, select File → New → Labels . Labels store various design properties (including the placement of objects) that configure their appearance and how they present data.
NOTE: dBASE stands for "dataBased Intelligence."
How to open an LBL file
Since moving to the LAB format dBASE no longer supports LBL files. However, you can still open LBL files in older versions of the software, such as dBASE IV (select File → Open ).
How to convert an LBL file
Older versions of dBASE, such as 5.7, allow you to convert LBL files to Crystal Reports RPL files. To do so, select File → LBL to RPL ... in the "Component Builder."
