What is a QBY file? Import file created by QuickBooks, an program used for entering, organizing, and storing financial data; contains the accountant's modified, finished .QBA file ready to be imported into the company file.

More Information To import the QBY file: Select File → Open or Restore Company → Open a Company File → Next → Browse , select the file you want and click Open . Select File → Accountant's Copy and choose Import Accountant's Changes from File . Navigate to your QBY file and click Open . NOTE: The QBY file is similar to the .QBX file. The difference is that the QBY file is used for importing to you and the QBX file is created when exporting to your accountant.
