1.2 | 20 Votes |
An SBX file may also be a SeqBox (Sequenced Box) container file created by SBXEnc, a program used to secure and back up a user's files in case of system failures, loss of partition information, or any other disk problems. It contains a file that has been encoded by the SBXEnc program. SBX files store information in a collection of blocks with each block consisting of a header, unique file identifier, checksum, block sequence number, and version.
More Information
The SeqBox format is designed to provide a safe archiving solution for securing and storing a user's files. The SBXEnc program is used to encode a data file to an SBX container and the SBXDec program is used to decode the SBX file back to the original file.
