What is an SDA file? Drawing or diagram created by Apache OpenOffice Draw, a vector graphics drawing program included with Apache OpenOffice and Oracle's Open Office; typically contains drawn vector objects but also supports raster graphics.

An SDA file may also be a database archive created by the Windows version of Star Finanz StarMoney, a personal and business banking application. It contains a user database generated from a user's .SDY and .SDX files, and includes account information, transactions, contacts, and other user data. SDA files are created to archive and back up databases.

StarMoney is developed by Star Finanz, a German-based company. The application is available in personal and business versions, which both may create SDA files.
You can choose whether or not StarMoney creates SDA archives. To do so, select Settings → General → Archiving , then select "Activate Archiving" under "Archiving Settings."
StarMoney generates SDA archives in the following directory, by default (beginning with StarMoney 7.0):
C:\ProgramData\StarMoney [version]\Profile

How to open an SDA file
You can only open SDA archives with the Windows version of Star Finanz StarMoney.
