What is a WIC file? A WIC file is a raster image saved in the Java Wavelet Image Codec (JWIC) format. It was created by Sasha Chukov's JWICTranslator, a utility designed to save images with higher quality and smaller file sizes than .JPEG files.
More Information JWICTranslator is designed to run on BeOS, a discontinued operating system developed by Be Inc. As such, you cannot run JWICTranslator in Windows, macOS, and other modern operating systems. However, you can still open WIC files with XnViewMP, a free image viewer available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
