What is an ENEX file? File exported by Evernote, a program used for capturing personal notes; saved in the Evernote Export (ENEX) XML format and contains written notes as well as binary file attachments that are encoded as text blocks within the XML markup.

More Information Evernote allows users to sync their notes with the Evernote online service so that notes can be accessed from the Web, mobile devices, and the local computer. Therefore, ENEX files are generally used for local backups and for transferring notes manually. ENEX files can be exported by choosing File → Export Notes to Archive... . They can be imported by choosing File → Import Notes from Archive... .
